Birds are feathered, winged, egg-laying,
vertebrate animals with beaks. They are said to have approximately
10,000 species all around the world. The Nature has given us such a
large number of beautiful birds that this list of only ten appears
insufficient. However, we have tried our best to compile a list of such
beautiful birds which you must see at least once in your life and which
will leave you in awe. It is important to mention here that we will be
discussing male species mainly. The reason being that in order to
attract their female mates, the male species is contrastingly colored
which includes not only more bright colors but also distinct magnificent
features (such as long tails or crowns). We will discuss not only their
appearance but also their relationship with humans and their
conservation status. Historically, humans have had a varied relationship
with birds; they hunt birds, take them as pets, or make them a part of
their culture through art, poetry, and symbolism. Now comes the list of
top 10 most beautiful birds in the world.
10. Scarlet Macaw
Macaws are the largest parrots in the
World. Scarlet Macaws are vividly colored beautiful birds. They are
almost 33 inches long with red plumage covering their bodies, adorned
with blue and yellow feathers and long tails. They have strong and
hooked beaks, suitable for cracking hard nuts. Their eyes are surrounded
by a patch of white. Do not confuse them with the red and green macaws.
The Scarlet Macaws can be found in southern Mexico, Central and South
America and the rain forests in Amazon. They can make a variety of loud
sounds to call in their groups and if a human speaks to them, they can
make similar sounding noises. The International Union for Conservation
of Nature (IUCN) has classified this specie as ‘Least Concern’ because
they are found in large numbers in their original range (South America).
However, they are vulnerable now due to destruction of rainforests and
illegal pet trade where they are often smuggled.

are found commonly in Australia, they are classified as ‘Least Concern’

Gurney’s Pitta underwent a rapid population decrease. Due to this
reason, they are classified as ‘Endangered’ species by the IUCN. After
